Hi. My name is Natasha Cooke.

I help people tune into their inner compass, creatively adapt, and manage themselves in a fast-changing world, as well as find energy for a fuller and happy life.

“Awareness in itself is healing.”
Fritz Perls (1893-1970),
founder of gestalt therapy

coach internationally certified by ICF

I believe that Life is a deep mystery and a miracle that we often take for granted as we go through the everyday busy routines of our own lives.

In my practice, I constantly observe that when we slow down and become more grounded with the help of gentle self-awareness, we can develop a better understanding of the reasons for our suffering and a greater ability to choose how we react to circumstances that we face in our lives.

Humanistic psychology, existential philosophy, film, theatre, literature, and spiritual practices have always been an important part of my life. My search has led me to the Gestalt approach because this method, created in 1951, comprises everything I value.

My entire life’s journey is a constant investigation of myself and the outside world, what Gestalt psychologists call contact boundaries.

What can I help with?

What will you might gain from this work

Some people come to me feeling that they lack purpose and enjoyment in their lives, wanting to find ways to become more motivated or to improve their relationships with others.

  • Relationship difficulties
  • Anxiety and low mood
  • Stress and overwhelm
  • Difficult life transitions
  • Low self-confidence
  • Better tolerance of negative emotions
  • Improved communication skills
  • Greater self-awareness
  • Improved emotional intelligence
  • A stronger sense of self-control
  • Improved ability to manage and regulate mental states
  • A better understanding of your own needs
Note: this is 1:1 developmental and awareness-based work, not clinical treatment. If I think someone would be better served by a different kind of support, I’ll say so and help point you in the right direction.
Nature is inherently whole and healing for the body, mind, and spirit, especially when we are working through something difficult. There is more and more research showing that time in fresh air can help reduce stress and low mood, and many doctors recommend regular walks to their patients.
"All truly great thoughts are conceived while walking."
Friedrich Nietzsche
If traditional, seated sessions aren't your cup of tea
or if you feel nervous about a first conversation, as most people understandably do - Walk and Talk can be a wonderful alternative.
I’ve always known that regular walks in fresh air, surrounded by nature, support my own wellbeing. It’s often hard to find time for this living in a city, and Walk and Talk is a chance to combine two things that are good for you — quite literally, we walk and talk.

If you’d like your journey to be accompanied by the beauty of nature, I also offer Walk and Talk sessions in local parks and green spaces.

Walk and Talk

Group work

A group is a unique, supportive field where everyone can express their feelings and concerns, be heard and supported.
The goals of group work can include:

Most participants come already aware of their difficulties and unresolved issues. Observing, noticing, and interacting with other participants helps them recognise similar patterns in themselves, become aware of their own beliefs, and shift how they relate to someone or something in their own lives.
In a group process, contact is the experience of both the uniqueness of each member and what we share with one another.
A Gestalt group allows people to give support to others and to receive support in return.
We are currently accepting applications to join a group meeting twice a month.
You can sign up by filling out the form on the site.
  • Working through internal conflicts
  • Relieving emotional and psychological stress
  • Reducing fear and anxiety
  • Building more effective interpersonal connection

Difference

What makes this approach diffrent?

I work with the relational field model of Gestalt — what emerges at the contact boundary between two people. It’s our relationship to each other, and a way of using both your experience and mine to deepen your self-awareness and explore what may have felt hidden or inaccessible to you. I look at a person and their environment holistically, because nothing happens in a vacuum. I may also suggest creative experiments as part of our work together.

What is unique about the approach?

The goal of Gestalt work is to reveal, investigate, and experience the wholeness of a person by integrating all their parts. This allows you to become more fully who you already are, and to realise more of your own potential.

Gestalt is a very adaptable approach and can be shaped around most people and circumstances.
One of its central benefits is increased awareness — which allows you to draw on your own internal resources to make choices and to manage your life, or a particular situation, more effectively.

If we decide to continue, we’ll agree on regular times together — those slots become yours. Regular sessions matter because they give the process a reliable structure.
Short-term work is usually up to eight sessions; longer-term work depends on what you need.
The first step is arranging our first meeting. In this session, we explore what’s brought you here and what you’d like to get out of our work together.
The first session is also your chance to get a sense of who I am, how our meetings could fit into your week, and how you feel in this kind of conversation.
If I think someone with a different background or approach could serve you better, I’ll say so and try to point you in the right direction.
Relational work like this includes everything that passes between two people — conscious and unconscious, physical and emotional — as part of a real dialogue.
It asks me to be a genuine, active participant, not just someone applying a body of knowledge from the outside.
